Designed and crafted entirely in France, our Madeleine line embodies the historical artisanal expertise of French leather goods. The bullcalf leather is sourced from the Southwest, while the metal elements, designed as jewelry, are created near Lake Geneva and assembled in our workshops in the Pays de la Loire.
The Legacy of Le Tanneur Leather Goods
This line is inspired by our iconic first coin purse, created in Paris in 1898, a true emblem of the Maison. Each piece results from a unique folding technique and is mounted on rivets. Le Tanneur has partnered with Kitesy Martin, a designer renowned for her unique approach to jewelry and her commitment to circular and responsible fashion.
In this conscious initiative, the starting point was Le Tanneur’s dormant stock. Kitesy Martin thus reimagined the iconic Louise tote, made in France.
